I Palazzi and Torre This imposing castle sits amongst the hills in magical surroundings, partly wild and partly cultivated. The extensive property, on which I Palazzi stands, is protected by a partly crenellated wall. There are three distinct residences on the property: The Palazzo (The palace), a vast 3 storey stone villa; The Torre (The tower), which stands between the Palazzo and the swimming pool; and a beautiful farmhouse which stands near the entrance to the property. The farmhouse stands outside the inner walls, which surround the Palazzo and the Torre. The most fascinating and impressive of the residences is of course the Palazzo. The ground floor was originally an Abbey, built in the year 1000. This rare example of historic architecture has been sympathetically adapted for contemporary use and now contains the living room with a large central fireplace. The medieval walls, ceilings and windows are all original. The owner’s love of beauty and history is evident in the furnishing of the Palazzo. With great attention to detail, the rooms have been furnished and decorated with fine antiques making it a very refined and exclusive property. The Palazzo has an internal elevator which takes you to the top floor. Each floor is furnished differently but to the same exquisite standards. The Torre stands not 10 meters away from the Palazzo. There is a kitchen and a changing room on the ground floor which have separate access from the outside which make them very convenient if you wish to relax by the pool or dine there. There are three luxurious rooms leading off the lounge, all of which have been furnished with fine antiques. The large “infinity” swimming pool, which is immersed in the countryside, is heated and equipped with beautiful, comfortable garden furniture in keeping with the surrounding natural stone work. There are plenty of lovely walking tracks which weave through the 12 hectare property. There is also a tennis court next to the farmhouse. The Palazzo, the Torre and the swimming pool all enjoy a rare level of complete privacy. I Palazzi is easily accessible from Perugia and its nearby airport via a well-maintained country road. I Palazzi Casale The Casale, about 100 meters from 'I Palazzi', has been recently refurbished and is built on two floors. On the ground floor, there is a large lounge with three main areas: the billiard table area, the lounge area with settees and card table, and the central area with a large old fireplace. At the opposite end of the lounge is the entrance to the apartment, in front of which there is a long wrought-iron pergola, where meals can be eaten ‘al fresco’. The tennis court is a few meters from the property. The Casale’s interior has been tastefully furnished with much attention to detail, bedrooms are furnished with antiques, bathrooms are elegant and comfortable. The Casale can be rented only together with i Palazzi and Torre.
